The steel is typically supplied in normalized and tempered condition to ensure uniform microstructure and weldability.

Chemical Composition (ASTM A387)

- C ≤ 0.15% - Mn 0.40–0.65% - Si 0.50–1.00% - Cr 1.00–1.50% - Mo 0.45–0.65% - P ≤ 0.035% - S ≤ 0.035%

Mechanical Properties

- Yield Strength: ≥ 275 MPa - Tensile Strength: 415–585 MPa - Elongation: ≥ 17% - Impact Energy: ≥ 55 J (at room temperature)
